The University of Vienna in Austria is currently accepting applications for two temporary University Assistant Predoctoral positions in the Department of Nursing Science, Faculty of Social Sciences. These positions will start on October 19, 2025, and offer 30 working hours per week until February 8, 2026, with the possibility of extension depending on the duration of employee absences.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in research, teaching, and administration focused on nursing science.
- Focus research on nursing science from a social science and public health perspective.
- Explore innovations in primary and long-term health care, patient and community involvement in chronic illness, and interprofessional collaboration.
- Support a dissertation at the Vienna Doctoral School of Social Sciences (ViDSS), which promotes high-quality, innovative research addressing global challenges.
Qualifications
- A scientific Master’s degree or equivalent in Nursing Science or related fields such as gerontology or public health.
- Proficiency in both German and English.
- Knowledge of social research methods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable organizational skills.
