Flinders University and the South Australian Genomics Centre (SAGC) are seeking a Senior Genomics Research Coordinator for a full-time position based in Bedford Park, South Australia. This fixed-term role extends until December 2026 and is jointly funded with a split of 0.75 FTE at Flinders University and 0.25 FTE at SAGC, located within the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI).
Role Responsibilities
The primary focus of this role includes:
- Leading quality control measures
- Advancing the quality management system to comply with NATA standards and ISO/IEC accreditations
- Driving accreditation expansion to include ISO/IEC 15189 for medical testing
- Ensuring delivery of high-quality genomic services across South Australia
Candidate Requirements
Ideal applicants should possess:
- A bachelor’s degree with honours or higher in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Laboratory Science, or Quality Management
- Experience in genomics facility operations, audits, and quality improvement
- Additional qualifications in ISO standards or auditing (highly valued)
