Queen’s University Belfast’s School of Psychology is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to engage in a cutting-edge project funded by the Public Health Agency for Northern Ireland. This project aims to apply psychology and systems science techniques to prevent and reduce obesity in two specified council areas within Northern Ireland.
The successful candidate will work closely with researchers from both Queen’s University and the Public Health Agency. The key responsibilities include:
- Developing and interpreting system maps of public health interventions related to obesity.
- Designing and delivering participatory system mapping workshops.
- Contributing to the interpretation, reporting, and dissemination of research findings.
Applicants are required to hold a primary degree in psychology, public health, social science, or a closely related discipline. Experience with system mapping in public health or comparable areas and strong skills in research writing are essential.
This position is offered at 0.6 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) for nine months, with a possibility of renewal based on funding availability.
