Western Sydney University’s MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development is offering two part-time postdoctoral research fellow positions in computational linguistics located at Westmead Innovation Quarter.
Position Details
- Position One: Duration of two years, focusing on data modelling and corpus-based investigations.
- Position Two: Duration of one year, emphasizing international online and lab-based data collection along with large dataset management.
Both roles are part-time at 28 hours per week, with a competitive salary ranging from $90,174 to $108,944 per annum pro-rata, inclusive of superannuation and leave loading.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold or be near completing a PhD in computational linguistics or related fields.
- Demonstrated strong skills in complex data analysis and empirical methods such as eye-tracking or EEG.
- Ability to contribute to pioneering projects focused on understanding multilingual and multidialectal mastery.
The projects are led by Professor Paola Escudero through an Australian Research Council grant.
