New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position to join its newly established Wireless Research Center located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This exciting role focuses on cutting-edge research in next-generation wireless communication systems, particularly 6G technologies.
Key Research Areas and Responsibilities
- Working with spectrum bands beyond 5G, including FR3 (7–24 GHz) and THz band (100 GHz and above)
- Designing waveforms and beamforming techniques
- Exploring reconfigurable intelligent surfaces
- Developing integrated sensing and communications (ISAC)
- Creating mathematical models and algorithms for wireless systems
- Evaluating system performance and publishing research findings
- Contributing to patents and wireless technology standards
Applicant Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a PhD in electrical/electronics engineering or telecommunications
- Expertise in communication theory, signal processing, and physical layer algorithm design
- Strong publication record demonstrating research excellence
- Preferred experience in RF band waveform design, hybrid beamforming, ISAC, or hardware-constrained signal processing
