King’s College London is seeking a full-time Lecturer of French Language Education for its Language Centre, part of the Centre for International Education & Languages (CIEL). This role focuses on teaching French language and culture to a diverse student population and developing innovative teaching materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching French language and culture courses
  • Developing and implementing innovative teaching materials
  • Supporting various programs, including specialist courses and partnerships with other higher education institutions
  • Contributing to course organization, staff management, and scholarly activities

About the Language Centre

The Language Centre offers instruction in 27 languages to over 8,000 students annually. It provides face-to-face support, cultural workshops, and a range of learning resources.

Contract Details and Salary

  • Indefinite contract
  • Competitive salary between £44,355 and £51,735 (including London Weighting Allowance)

Candidate Requirements

  • Native French speaker
  • Postgraduate qualification in French language teaching or applied linguistics
  • Significant higher education teaching experience
  • Expertise in technology-enhanced learning and modern language teaching approaches
  • Desirable: PhD and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy
