The University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) is currently seeking an Associate Director in Workplace Relations and Business Partnering for a full-time fixed-term position at their Sunshine Coast campus, Sippy Downs. This role is available as a parental leave contract until October 2026 and offers an attractive salary package that includes 17% superannuation.
Role Overview
This leadership position involves:
- Managing high-performing teams
- Leading enterprise bargaining negotiations
- Shaping UniSC’s approach to workplace relations, compliance, and organisational change
- Advising university executive leaders
- Fostering collaborative staff and union relationships
- Overseeing workforce planning and risk management
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
- Extensive senior HR leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of workplace relations
- Proven track record in strategic HR partnering within complex or unionised environments
- Essential skills in negotiation, influencing, and employment law
- Experience in higher education or regulated sectors is desirable
