Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) is currently hiring faculty members for various positions in Game Design. Available roles include Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer. Successful candidates will commence employment in either February or September 2026.

Department and Focus Areas

The Department of Film, Television and New Media invites applications from individuals skilled in game design and development. Key focus areas for these positions are:

  • Game Character Design
  • Modeling and Animation
  • Game Programming and Development using Unity or Unreal Engine
  • Game Level and Scene Design

Candidate Qualifications

Applicants must possess either industry experience or academic expertise in creating complete games, alongside strong technical and artistic abilities. Required educational qualifications include a:

  • Ph.D. in Game Design, Game Development, Computer Science with a game-related focus, or Digital Media
  • or Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in related game design fields

Preference is given to candidates who have a strong portfolio or published research in game development.

Responsibilities

  1. Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses
  2. Supervising students’ academic progress
  3. Contributing to curriculum development
  4. Engaging in creative research or practice related to game design

Proficiency in English is essential as it is the medium of instruction at BNBU.
