The Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is currently inviting applications for the role of Research Engineer/Fellow specializing in Deep Learning and Computer Vision. This exciting position offers an opportunity to engage in cutting-edge industry innovation projects while working closely with Principal Investigators, Co-PIs, and dedicated research teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize deep learning models for object detection, classification, and segmentation using real-world datasets.
- Design and implement software modules to support these models.
- Perform data annotation and conduct experiments to validate model performance.
- Analyze experimental results and contribute to academic publications.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong background in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience with models like YOLO, U-Net, EfficientNet, and ResNet.
- Proficiency in Python and libraries including PyQt, OpenCV, and NumPy, especially for developing Windows desktop applications integrating deep learning models.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic/Software Engineering or related fields is mandatory; a Master’s or PhD is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Kaggle competitions, model deployment tools like ONNX and TensorRT, as well as edge computing platforms such as the NVIDIA Jetson Nano and real-time GPU acceleration is a plus.
