The Academy of Language and Culture (LAC) in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong, is currently inviting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. Established recently on July 1, 2024, LAC encompasses three primary departments:
- English Language and Literature
- Humanities and Creative Writing
- Translation, Interpreting, and Intercultural Studies
The Academy offers a broad range of multidisciplinary programs to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with a keen emphasis on linguistic diversity and intercultural communication.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have expertise in the following areas:
- Cultural Studies
- Visual Cultural Studies
- Media Studies
Special focus areas include aesthetics, gender studies, health humanities, and environmental humanities. Additionally, experience with AI technology or AI-driven projects is highly desirable.
