Founded in 2025, SBME serves as a unique interdisciplinary platform supported by the faculties of Medicine, Engineering, Dentistry, and Science. Position Requirements
Candidates with a Master’s or preferably a doctoral degree in biomedical engineering, biomedical sciences, biotechnology, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate strong teaching skills in contemporary biomedical engineering topics including:
- Foundational courses
- Project-based learning
- Electrical and mechanical engineering
- Biology and chemistry
- Artificial intelligence and data science related to biomedicine
Experience integrating engineering and clinical medicine disciplines is highly valued.
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be involved in:
- Designing and delivering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Supporting curriculum development
- Leading hands-on projects and active learning initiatives
Industry experience and proficiency in prototyping within BME makerspaces are considered advantageous.
Experience Requirements
- Senior Lecturers: Minimum 10 years of teaching experience
- Lecturers: Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
- Assistant Lecturers: For candidates with less experience
