King’s College London is pleased to announce an exciting vacancy for a Communications and Engagement Manager in the Department of Twin Research and Genetic Epidemiology. This full-time role is located in London and is offered as a fixed-term maternity cover contract until December 31, 2026.

The department is renowned for its innovative research focusing on genetics, epigenetics, and environmental influences on critical health conditions such as cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering multi-channel communication campaigns to engage a broad and diverse audience, with an emphasis on underrepresented groups.
- Managing press releases, newsletters, websites, events, videos, and social media content.
- Collaborating closely with NHS partners, advisory groups, and community organisations to enhance participant recruitment and retention.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- A relevant degree.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in health or science communications.
- Essential skills include patient and public involvement experience, digital content creation, and multimedia production.
Desirable qualifications include a master’s degree in science communication, media relations expertise, and leadership experience.
Salary and Application Details
The position offers a salary between £45,031 and £52,514 per annum, inclusive of the London Weighting Allowance. The closing date for applications is October 12, 2025, with interviews scheduled around October 27, 2025.
