Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand is seeking applications for the prestigious role of Tumuaki – Head of School at the School of Architecture. This is a fixed-term appointment for three years, ideal for experienced academic leaders in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Architecture, Building Science, or Construction.

Key Requirements

  • Skills: Strong leadership within university settings
  • Experience: Proven abilities in strategic planning, school management, staff development, financial management, advocacy, and collaboration

Role Responsibilities

  1. Provide academic leadership and management of the School of Architecture
  2. Strategically align the school’s goals with the university’s direction
  3. Foster an inclusive and collaborative culture
  4. Promote excellence in teaching, research, and national and international engagement
  5. Uphold obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  6. Represent the school externally

The successful candidate will be appointed at the level of Professor or Associate Professor, depending on their qualifications and experience.
