The University of the Pacific in Stockton is seeking a full-time, 12-month Director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). This crucial leadership position manages mental health services across three campuses: Stockton, Sacramento, and San Francisco. The annual salary ranges from $130,000 to $140,000, reflecting the importance of promoting student well-being through clinical leadership, staff management, and culturally responsive counseling services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and supervise professional staff and trainees.
- Develop strategic goals for CAPS services.
- Deliver clinical services and support crisis intervention efforts.
- Manage budgets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Lead outreach programs and collaborate with faculty and community providers.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology or a related field.
- Minimum of five years’ supervisory experience.
- Preferred: Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and California licensure.
- Leadership experience in higher education counseling centers is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel occasionally to other campuses and provide after-hours support.
