The University of the Pacific in Stockton is currently recruiting for an exciting leadership role as the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). This full-time, 12-month position is responsible for overseeing mental health operations across the Stockton, Sacramento, and San Francisco campuses.
Position Details
- Salary Range: $130,000 to $140,000 annually
- Reports To: Assistant Vice President for Health and Wellness
- Responsibilities:
- Providing strategic leadership for CAPS
- Ensuring high-quality, inclusive, and culturally responsive mental health services
- Supervising CAPS staff and interns
- Delivering clinical services
- Managing budgets
- Coordinating crisis interventions
- Leading outreach programs
- Location: Duties spread across three campuses with some travel required
- Availability: After-hours availability required
Qualifications
The University seeks highly qualified candidates with the following credentials:
- Required:
- Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field
- At least five years of supervisory experience
- Preferred:
- Doctoral degree
- California licensure
- Experience in higher education counseling center administration
