King’s College London is currently accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position within the History Department. This exciting full-time role runs from January 2026 to December 2028 and focuses on the research project titled ‘The Digital Labour of Covid-19 Volunteerism’.
Key Research Focus
The successful candidate will investigate the digital health work performed by Covid-19 volunteers in India. This includes a detailed examination of:
- Pandemic relief efforts conducted via digital platforms
- The impact of gender, caste, and class on access to digital health infrastructure
Essential Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- PhD in Humanities, Social Sciences, or Public Health
- Experience in qualitative research methods such as oral history or ethnography
- Familiarity with Indian health activism or policy
- Proficiency in at least one South or North Indian language
- At least one published research article in Medical Humanities or related fields
