King’s College London is recruiting a Research Scientist (Medical) to contribute to the EMBRACE study, a £35 million international initiative focused on maternal and early childhood health. This role is situated in London within the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine.

The EMBRACE study involves 60,000 participants globally and leverages advanced artificial intelligence, including Large Language Models (LLMs), to offer personalised health coaching.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop context-sensitive LLMs to provide real-time, personalised health advice.
  • Integrate diverse health data ensuring medical accuracy and relevance.
  • Blend medical expertise with AI innovations to enhance the models’ empathy and cultural sensitivity.
  • Manage and oversee project development efficiently.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Medical degree and PhD (or pending award).
  • Experience in AI and digital health research.
  • Strong expertise in natural language processing and digital therapeutics development.
  • Demonstrable evidence of peer-reviewed publications.

Position Details

  • Fixed-term contract until July 2029.
  • Salary range: £44,355 – £51,735 per annum, including London Weighting Allowance.
