The University of Sydney in Australia is currently hiring a Manager, Global Research Engagement for a full-time 12-month fixed-term position. This role offers a competitive base salary of $156,277 plus 17% superannuation.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will lead initiatives to enhance the university’s global research partnerships and reputation. Reporting directly to the Director of Global Research Engagement, the manager will:

  • Build and maintain strategic international partnerships
  • Align activities with the university’s global strategy
  • Support international partnership strategies
  • Manage official visits and global network participation
  • Lead a team of professional staff
  • Enhance the university’s global rankings
  • Foster cross-cultural collaboration in research

Key Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Postgraduate qualifications with a research background
  2. Experience in international diplomacy or higher education engagement
  3. Strong leadership and project management skills
  4. Unrestricted work rights in Australia
  5. Working with Children Check clearance
