NYU Abu Dhabi is currently offering an exciting Post-Doctoral Associate position within the Division of Social Science. This role is designed for candidates who have either completed or are nearing the completion of their PhD in economics or related disciplines.
Position Details
- Start Date: September 1, 2026 (subject to budget approval)
- Duration: Up to three years
- Research Focus: Firms, employment, climate change, and migration
- Fieldwork Locations: Africa and Asia
- Time Allocation: 50% independent research, 50% collaborative projects with Professors Morgan Hardy and Veda Narasimhan
- Teaching: Optional and may be compensated
Candidate Requirements
Ideal candidates should have experience with:
- Managing complex fieldwork
- Survey data collection
- Experimental research designs, particularly in Africa and Asia
This opportunity is well-suited for PhD candidates in their final year who wish to postpone entering the job market to enhance their academic profile.
