Masaryk University’s Faculty of Education in Brno is currently seeking an Assistant Professor for the Department of Art. This full-time role begins in September 2025 and is initially offered on a one-year fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching in Art Education and Visual Creation programs
- Special focus on film studies, art mediation, and gallery pedagogy
- Course development and integration of film education into curricula
- Participation in interdisciplinary projects
- Leading research activities and publishing scholarly works
- Supporting student thesis supervision
Candidate Requirements
- Master’s degree in Theory and History of Film and Audiovisual Culture or a closely related field
- Completed Ph.D. in film studies
- Proficiency in English (minimum B2) and Czech (minimum C1 or native speaker)
- Experience in university teaching, curatorial work, or exhibition organization is an advantage
