King’s College London, within its Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine, is actively recruiting a Research Fellow in Computational Biostatistics. This full-time position supports the innovative PharosAI platform, a collaborative cancer AI initiative based in South East London.

PharosAI is a joint effort between King’s College London, Queen Mary University of London, and prominent NHS Trusts, backed by £44 million in funding. The successful candidate will engage in the analysis of complex multimodal datasets, including:

  • Spatial transcriptomics
  • Single-cell omics
  • Medical imaging
  • Digital pathology

Utilizing advanced AI and machine learning techniques, the Research Fellow will:

  1. Design and implement experiments
  2. Develop bespoke statistical pipelines
  3. Collaborate closely with bioinformatics and clinical data teams

Essential qualifications for the role include:

  • Expertise in AI and machine learning
  • Proficiency in Bayesian statistics
  • Knowledge of causal inference methodologies

Desirable experience encompasses mentoring, working within multi-disciplinary teams, and collaboration with industry or NHS partners. The role is a fixed-term contract until March 2027, requiring independent management of complete data analysis workflows and active contribution to accelerating precision medicine discoveries and clinical applications through PharosAI.
