The Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has officially released the tentative schedule for the Computer-Based Test (CBT-I) under Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) 05/2024. This test pertains to the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) graduate-level posts such as Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, among others. According to the latest notification from the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), CBT-I is scheduled from June 5, 2025, to June 23, 2025.

The examination will be conducted over 15 days, and candidates are advised to frequently visit the official RRB websites for timely updates. A key facility for SC/ST candidates, the exam city and date intimation link, along with the travel authority pass, will be available 10 days before the exam date. This link will be hosted only on the official RRB portals.

Candidates can download their e-call letters (admit cards) starting 4 days before their scheduled exam date. It is crucial to access the exam city/date link in advance and download the admit card on time to avoid last-minute hurdles.

A significant update this year is the mandatory Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication at exam centres. Candidates must carry either their original Aadhaar card or a valid e-Aadhaar copy. Those who have completed Aadhaar verification earlier must ensure their Aadhaar is in an unlocked state in the UIDAI system to prevent delays during entry.

Those yet to complete Aadhaar verification are urged to do so promptly at www.rrbapply.gov.in.

Lastly, RRBs strongly warn candidates against relying on unauthorized sources or touts. The recruitment process is completely transparent and merit-based, conducted solely through the CBT.
